Nafiesa Rasoelbaks (1984) was born and raised in Amsterdam and has Surinamese-Hindustani roots. Her love for storytelling began early: books, series, films, and video games were favorite sources of inspiration—but even a simple shampoo bottle could spark her imagination.
After high school, Nafiesa took an unconventional path, gaining a wide range of experiences before finding her calling in the bachelor’s program for Media & Entertainment Management. During her internship at Pathé, she discovered her passion for storytelling and content creation on social media. With her unique approach, she became a trailblazer in the film industry, earning millions of views with interviews, premiere coverage, and set visits.

Now working as a freelance professional in the Dutch film industry, Nafiesa specializes in marketing and storytelling while pursuing her ultimate dream: making her own films. Her work weaves in personal themes such as her bicultural identity, queerness, and mental health, with a mission to tell impactful stories that spotlight often-overlooked perspectives.
Nafiesa lives in Rotterdam with her life partner, multidisciplinary artist Sioe Jeng Tsao. In addition to her own creative projects, she supports Sioe Jeng both professionally and artistically.
